Publications are shipped from a fulfillment vendor in Northern California. The default shipment method is UPS ground service. It could take up to 3 weeks to receive your shipment if you order the print version of the publication. ILRC recommends that you either order the PDF option or book & PDF option to ensure that you have something to work from when the course begins. ILRC cannot guarantee that your print publication will arrive in time if you order too close to the course start date. If you place an order for the printed book only and later want to purchase the PDF, ILRC will charge the full price for the second order. This also holds true if you order the PDF only and later want to purchase the printed version. ILRC does not allow students to purchase the PDF or printed book after the initial order is placed at the price difference of $40; the full price of the PDF or printed book will be charged. Please carefully consider your purchasing decision before placing your order. No exceptions will be made.
After you submit your order, you can immediately download your PDF by logging into your account at www.ilrc.org. To login select the “Account” tab located on the top, right side of the page, and enter the email address and password you used to place your order. If you did not receive an email to create a password or cannot remember your password, select the “Request new password” tab from the “Log in” screen and the email will be resent. This email may end up in your SPAM or Junk folders, so be sure to check both. Once logged in to your account, click the “PDF Downloads” tab to find the link to your PDF(s).
An account is automatically created whenever you place an order. To access this account visit https://www.ilrc.org/user/password, enter the email address you used to place the order, and create a new password. You will receive an email with instructions on how to access your account. This email may end up in your SPAM or Junk folders, so be sure to check both. Requirements for Receiving a Certificate: Your acceptance into the program does not guarantee an ILRC certificate. You can earn a certificate by passing the take-home final exam and meeting the deadlines for the final exam itself. Any requests for individual deadline extensions must be filed in advance. If you score above a 70% without cheating (working with another person or using AI), you pass the exam and receive a certificate. If you are a licensed attorney who is in need of CLE credits for this course, please contact our team prior to the first live session so that we can properly track your engagement.
Artificial Intelligence (AI): We are aware that AI is becoming more commonly used in our society but we would like to clarify that World Relief prohibits AI tools from being utilized in this course. Please note the following examples of prohibited behavior: 1) Using AI to take notes during live or recorded sessions, 2) Using AI to summarize or compile content from any of course materials, and/or 3) Using AI to complete the final exam or any other course assignments. If any participant is found to have utilized AI in the completion of the course or the final exam, they will not pass the course and will not receive a certificate/ CLE credit. As a reminder, non-attorney participants must pass the final exam in order to receive a certificate. In addition, registration will not be refunded.
If you score between a 60-69.9% you will have one opportunity to retake the exam. If you score below a 60% you do not receive the opportunity to retake the exam. We will distribute the final exam on the last day of the course.
DOJ Accreditation: While this program is structured to prepare people with the fundamentals they need to seek Department of Justice Accreditation, it does not automatically result in accreditation. Earning the certificate enhances, but does not guarantee, accreditation by the Department of Justice. Individuals working for nonprofit agencies must file their own applications directly with the DOJ. This process will be discussed during the training. Please feel free to contact [email protected] if you have questions or need any additional information. We will be sending more detailed logistics information closer to the training.
Although this is a take-home exam, you must complete the exam by yourself; you may not collaborate with anyone else. Collaborating with anyone on the final exam will be regarded as cheating and will result in an automatic failure. As such, they will not pass the course and will not receive a certificate/ CLE credit. As a reminder, non-attorney participants must pass the final exam in order to receive a certificate. In addition, registration will not be refunded.
